Long term player loyalty support goes a long way to drive success. The dev house has gain a lot of insight and experience and understands what it is to make the right effort at the right time and how important reputation is. The public is forgiving them and the game has gained success. With NMS, they had a bad start but strived to make things right had have. The gaming market has figured them out and doesn't trust them. Outfits like EA have little market respect which is why, even with their new battle-royal game, they are hurting financially. LexluthermiesterAh, but there's another cost/benefit.

    maybe they are afraid of endorsing such a Mod inside an official "sticky". maybe because it was such a non-standard type Mod that involved installing a specilized program?. They removed the link to the forum post describing the "opengl 4.5 mod". there is a work-around, that was posted very early on in the forums and is named in the "Most Common Issues and Workarounds" sticky. If you find that in-fact, your card is not OpenGL 4.5. not sure about other cards though or if they were able to dev a global fix for this ? HG patched for Ati HD6xxx (OGL 4.2/4.4) series cards to work with OGL 4.5. that "is" the exact non-complient OpenGL crash symptom. I meet all the specs except for my video card I think is a bit below, even though it's running opengl 4.5. I see the star field and then when it goes to show me my planet for the first time all I get is a white screen with planet audio until crash.
